The humble t-shirt is one of the simplest items of clothing on the market today. But how do you style it? There are so many different ways you can style your t-shirts - whether it's the middle of summer or the depths of winter. We're here to give you some advice on 5 easy ways to rock your tee any day of the week.
Under the strap
Have you noticed that some fashion from the 90s is still making an appearance today? We can tell you that we're absolutely loving it! This trend was seen on Jennifer Anniston in Friends, Alicia Silverston in Clueless and is still popular now. It's recently been seen on celebrities like Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and if those sisters can't prove that the tee is stylish we don't know who can. This style is of course the t-shirt under a strappy dress. This can be an easy way to create a brand new look from your existing wardrobe essentials and can be styled using any length dress. The tee is also perfect for covering up your shoulders on those days when you want to wear a dress but it's a little chilly. You can wear many different types of shoes: boots, heels, trainers - it's a style completely open to ideas, you can't really go wrong.
Lot's of ladies are walking around with boho vibes this summer, and they look absolutely radiant. You may be asking "BeGlad, how do you style up a t-shirt and give it a boho feeling?". Well, you ask and we deliver! No one wants to wear trousers in hot weather. Skirts are the best way to keep your legs cool and flatter your shape. Styling up your t-shirt with a patterned long skirt will give your outfit a boho feel like no other. You can match it with some sandals for the perfect style and even a summer hat for those days when you need some shade.
Blazer it up
Time to add a formal touch to your tee? We guarantee you a blazer makes any t-shirt outfit 'pop'. Any colour blazer will work - nude, black and grey are some popular choices because they are base colours and match with nearly every colour. Bring out your daring side and wear a plaid blazer for a bolder look. Mix up your look with either a pencil skirt for a feminine work look or your favourite pair of jeans. Here's one of our best looks: a plaid blazer, black jeans, black shoes and white t-shirt. Voila...styled to perfection!
Jeans for days
There's always one item of clothing that never disappoints and that's a well fitted pair of jeans. Jeans always seem to make anything look perfect, whether it's with a jumper, a sweater, or in this case a t-shirt. If you're wanting to style jeans up with a t-shirt, you have to pay attention to which shoes you wear. If you're wanting a more casual look, match it with a pair of trainers. But if you're wanting to style your outfit up, match it with some heeled boots or possibly even sandals, although only wear sandals when it's nice weather. You don't want your toes freezing!
Knot it up
This style tip is different to the others because the t-shirt itself is doing all the work. Grab two sections of the fabric from the bottom hem of your t-shirt and knot it neatly in the middle. And that's it! A simple twist on a classic shape. You just need to be careful not to knot it too much that it becomes a crop top, that it comes undone or quite the opposite...you can't undo it at the end of the day. You can either match it with jeans or a skirt. In order to style it up with jeans you would be best wearing shoes such as heeled boots, whereas if you wore a skirt you could style it up by simply wearing a pair of trainers or sandals.
Wearing heels with any of these outfits will definitely style them up. But you have to think about how long you're going to be wearing them, remember...heels hurt after a while! We guarantee that no matter which of these you choose to style your t-shirt, you're going to look fantastic. Let us know how you look in your new outfits and we're always looking for style tips. You can never have too many! We can't wait to see you rock your look!
Good luck styling ladies,
